Base of pedestal resting on iron floor in watchroom is similar to clockwork for revolving apparatus.
Circular structure surrounding pedestal
Cast steel 7" dia., leads thru upper metal ring of lens, fastened to spider band w/ 3 lugs & set screws movable for adj. Connected to this is a tube provided w/ damper attach. On top of spider band & above 7" tube is sheet iron tube 6" dia. to carry gases to vent.
