Light black cloth curtain hung on 2 arm lever is lifted & dropped by clockwork.
Lens supported on 4" x 4" wooden post, which extends down thru cupboard in center of lantern to floor.
Cupboard having top 2' 6" x 3' 3" above floor. Clock rests on top. There is also a wooden table or wide shelf over stairway.
