10" whistle & machinery in duplicate of Lighthouse Board's original design of
January, 1883
5 sec blast followed by interval of 25 sec.
About 15' W of lighthouse tower. Guide thru channel between Isle Royale & Passage Island.
From water station by means of 3" force pump or No. 9 injector.
Either by inclined way or over rocks.
Frame building 22' w x 40' l studding 6x6" sheathed with 2" planking placed diagonally on outside & ceiled with 1" flooring inside. Roof & sides covered with #18 corr. iron - inside lined with #26 smooth iron: wall filled w/ lime & sawdust. Windows fitted with shutters
