Healthfulness

Tower cold, draughty & damp previous to installation of coal stove.

When cooking in the kitchen, steam condenses into water on the iron walls causing water to run on floor making quarters very damp. This could be remedied by shelling kitchen as rest of tower is done.

An independent enclosed circular stairway, leading from floor of engine room with door at it's foot would stop the draught from soaring upwards, carrying with it gases of combustion, which permeate thru partitions into sleeping quarters & whole tower.
