A small wharf 17' x 32' was built several years ago at which time it projected into Bay & had depth of water on front sufficient for medium sized vessels but action of sea has filled sand in front until it is now 110' from high water mark & 180' from low.
About 1/2 mile SSE from Humboldt Bay unused lighthouse.
Wharf connected to signal by planked tramway, about 600' long which is now practically useless as all supplies, material, machinery etc., must be landed at large wharf at upper end of reservation & hauled about 1/2 mi thru road to signal.
