Duration of flash: 0.7 sec
Candlepower of fixed white light: 18,500
Candlepower of red flash: 160,000
Photometer readings by 3rd Dist. 1000 W T-20 lamp 500,000 (thru center dioptric section of 1st order 45 degree flash panel)
Add for lower catadioptric prisms: 85,000
Deduct 10% for lantern glass: -58, 500
This shows 1B value on only 93.5 = 526,500 cp
c.p. = 93.5 x 11250 x 1/2 = 526,500 cp
Add for upper fixed panel catadioptric prisms 5,500 approx.
For red flash 3/10 x 532,000 = 160,000 cp approx.
On basis of intrinsic brilliancy of 93 cp of fixed white light would be 93 x 1.7 x 235 cm x 1/2 = 18, 500 cp.
