At present the road built by contractors from beach on N side of Cape to site is utilized & is about 2 miles long.

By steamer from Astoria, OR., to head of Sturgeon Channel in Tillamook Bay, thence by small boat to beach on sand spit 1 mile, thence by wagon to station 2 miles; or by train from Portland to N Lamhill, 39 miles, thence by wagon or horse to Tillamook City

A county road from Netarts Bay to Tillamook City is 3 miles S but at present cannot be reached, except on foot or horseback.
