Cape Flattery Light Station - 1882

Lighthouse Access

Beach landing - no wharf. Boat house 12 x 24' in plan - with a rollway & geared winch for hauling up the boat. No road. A pathway leads up bluff to lighthouse.

 

 

 

Water for fog signal caught from roof of building. Water is stored in brick cistern (21' dia. x 12' deep, capacity 31,172 gals) & wooden tank (20' sq. x 7' deep, capacity 21,000 gals. Top of cistern is flat & has wooden covering. Top of tank is open.
